Erik ten Hag and Anthony Martial were involved in a verbal spat on Saturday evening as Manchester United suffered defeat at Newcastle.
The Red Devils were looking to bounce back from their European disappointment against the high-flying Magpies at St James' Park. And Ten Hag had made four changes to his starting side – with Marcus Rashford and Martial replacing Antony and Rasmus Hojlund.
However, Ten Hag might have been regretting his decision when he was involved in a verbal spat the Frenchman during the first-half. A clip emerged of the pair engaging in plenty of "arm waving" while locking horns.

Martial's contract expires in the summer, and he's currently expected to leave Old Trafford when he's deal is up – nine years after he swapped Monaco for Manchester.

Martial was hooked in the 60th minute by the Dutchman, and the striker wasn't able to produce a single shot for the hour he spent on the pitch. The Frenchman has now not completed a full 90-minutes for the Red Devils in three seasons.
Rashford was subbed at the same time as Martial, with Ten Hag falling back to his strike partnership that he deployed in Turkey. However, it wasn't enough, with the Red Devils losing 1-0 on the night.
