Manchester United are reportedly eyeing the signing of two Brazilian wonderkids after a recent scouting trip to South America.
United scouts are said to have travelled to South American where two 17-year-old prodigies caught their eye. But the Red Devils could be forced to pay upwards of £100million to land both of the teenagers.
Palmeiras midfielder Luis Guilherme alongside Flamengo’s Lorran could both be subject of a double swoop by United. Guilherme, a Brazil U-20 international has become a regular in Palmeiras’ first team. While Lorran is a winger who scored a brace for Brazil-U17s against England recently.

But United aren’t alone in the players’ pursuit. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that United scouts are following the players, but they aren’t alone, he said: “Keep an eye also on Manchester United in South America because in recent weeks Manchester United, as I told you, sent their scouts, as well as Chelsea, to follow Lorran from Flamengo, this talented Brazilian boy.
“Man Utd scouts were in attendance to follow this player. But from what I’m hearing, there is also one more player being monitored by Manchester United.

“This is Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, one more Brazilian talent. Someone from Manchester United’s scouting department is travelling around Brazil to keep an eye on these players.
“Let’s see what is going to happen because, for example, on Luis Guilherme there are more than five important European clubs – from Germany, from England, from different countries – so, work in progress on that one. But let’s see what Man Utd will decide to do because they are scouting many players also in South America.”
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Palmeiras included a £52m release clause into Guilherme’s contract. While Lorran has a clause of £43m in his Flamengo deal. United were previously hamstrung by Financial Fair Play restrictions in the summer and huge outlays on two unproven teenagers seems currently unlikely.
