Liverpool fans are branding summer signing Wataru Endo a total waste of money after a fail compilation from his full debut went viral.
The Japanese midfielder was parachuted in from Stuttgart earlier this month as the Reds scrambled frantically for a new No. 6 after being gazumped by Chelsea in the race for both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
The move was a bit of a shock, primarily because the majority of Liverpool fans didn't even know who the 30-year-old was, and after catching the roundup of his performance against Newcastle some suggested the £15million they paid for him was "money down the drain".
In one clip, Endo got absolutely spun in midfield by Bruno Guimaraes and in another he booted a through-ball directly out of play, and frazzled fans are already urging the club to go out and sign a replacement for him.

"Endo simply can’t start. £15m on a 30-year-old who was battling relegation in the Bundesliga was never gonna work," one supporter fumed on X (formerly Twitter). "He’s fine as a back-up but that’s it. Be serious, if we want to win PL we need a proper DM."
"We should have got Amrabat instead of him and then another DM feels like £15m down the drain," another wrote, while a third added: "We just need to accept its money down the drain and move on."

In Endo's defence, he was effectively thrown to the wolves against Newcastle, with Jurgen Klopp's side going down to 10 men mid-way through the first half at St James' Park after Virgil van Dijk clattered into Aleksander Isak as the Swede was turning to shoot on the edge of the box.
Substitute Darwin Nunez saved the day however, grabbing two late second half goals to flip the game on its head and secure a shock 2-1 win for the visitors, but positive result aside, Endo's performance was a concern and while he might have filled Fabinho's old No. 3 shirt, he evidently has a long way to go before filling the Brazilian's shoes.
