Jadon Sancho has reportedly been given an escape route out of Manchester United with a side from Saudi Arabia said to have submitted an ‘official offer’ for the winger. Sancho’s future at Old Trafford has been brought into question following an explosive public spat with Erik ten Hag.
The United boss admitted he left Sancho out of his matchday squad to face Arsenal based on his performance in training. Sancho was not happy with Ten Hag’s comments as he took to social media within an hour to dispute his claims.
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue,” Sancho posted. “I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t get into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!” It’s raised questions on Sancho’s future at Old Trafford this week, although his options are limited.
All transfers windows for the top five leagues in Europe are now closed, but clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Greece among others are still able to do business. The Saudi Pro League could be Sancho’s best chance at an immediate escape route from United.
According to Rudy Galetti, Sancho has been ‘sent an official offer’ from an unnamed club from Saudi Arabia. The 23-year-old is said to be evaluating the offer with Saudi clubs able to do business until September 7.
