- There’s a lot of anger at Man Utd – it’s them against the world! It’s All Kicking Off!
Ian Wright has smugly taken to social media after correctly predicting that Manchester United wouldn’t beat Bournemouth.
United were beaten 3-0 by the Cherries at Old Trafford in one of the biggest shocks of the season, but it wasn’t a massive surprise to the former Arsenal striker.
Earlier this week Wright was involved in predicting this weekend’s round of results as part of a regular segment on Gary Neville’s Stick to Football show on YouTube.
Teaming up with fellow pundit Roy Keane, Wright refused to believe that Bournemouth would be beaten by United, despite Keane plumping for a win for his former club.
After being proved right in his prediction, Wright reposted the video on social media with a cheeky dig at those who doubted his opinion.

Wright rightly predicted that United wouldn’t beat the Cherries in this weekend’s fixture
The ex-Arsenal ace was appearing alongside Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane
‘They were cooking me in the comments!!!!’ said Wright on X. Then tagged both Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, who are part of the show.
His post was in reference to the response he received from his prediction, but Wright was proved right in another disappointing performance from Erik ten Hag’s team.
Dominic Solanke opened the scoring after just five minutes at Old Trafford, before second half goals from Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi sealed a memorable victory for the Cherries.
The defeat heaps further pressure on manager Erik ten Hag, despite winning November’s Manager of the Month award earlier this week.
Fans were unhappy with the Dutchman’s line-up and the team’s inconsistent displays following last weekend’s dismal performance against Newcastle.

It was Bournemouth’s first-ever win at Old Trafford and continues their recent good form
While Wright’s cohort Neville described the defeat to Bournemouth as ‘abysmal’ and criticised the team’s recent run.
United now face a massive week where they face Bayern Munich to try and salvage their Champions League campaign, before taking on table-topping Liverpool next Sunday.
Bournemouth meanwhile celebrated their first-ever win at Old Trafford and have now won four of their last five games, drawing the other, steering them away from the relegation scrap at the bottom of the table.
