Football fans have been left laughing after Duncan Ferguson was left looking like a "Soviet politician" in a pre-match social media graphic from the Scottish Championship side.
The former Everton forward was in charge of Forest Green Rovers last season, overseeing a disastrous run of form that saw them win just once in 18 games – which led to them to be relegated to League Two. And that poor form eventually led to Ferguson leaving the club back in July this summer.
Recently, the 51-year-old was unveiled as Inverness Caledonian Thistle's new boss, replacing Billy Dodds whom the club sacked earlier this month. On Saturday afternoon, Ferguson was in charge for his first Inverness game, with the Scottish Championship side taking on Arbroath.

And ahead of the game, Inverness released a pre-match social media graphic to hype up their fans for the clash against Arbroath. The only issue was, it seemed to depict Ferguson as a Soviet Union politician, which football fans were quick to point out.
The pre-match graphic featured Ferguson wearing an Inverness scarf with the word 'matchday' behind him. However, Ferguson's face looked to be airbrushed heavily, with some even comparing his likeness to Vladimir Putin.

One fan wrote: "Why have they made him look like a Soviet politician." A second added: "Putin in an alternate universe." A third commented: "Comrade Dunc" with a fourth agreeing, saying: "Comrade Fergusonski".
Thankfully for Inverness fans, the social media image can now be forgotten, thanks in part to their impressive performance against Arbroath. Ferguson's new side, who had not won a game this season in the Scottish Championship, managed to go 3-0 up against their opponents, before conceding twice in the second half.
