Dominik Szoboszlai ‘has a foot like a traction engine’ as screamer goes viral

Dominik Szoboszlai has 'Steven Gerrard DNA' according to euphoric Liverpool fans following his blistering Carabao Cup screamer.

The Hungary skipper has hit the ground running at Anfield and capped off another fine performance with a second-half rocket as Jurgen Klopp's side came from behind to beat Leicester. The 22-year-old sensationally fired home off the underside of the crossbar following a pass from Wataru Endo.

Szoboszlai's 22-yard effort has gone viral since the 3-1 victory – with one fan quoting an Alan Partridge meme by saying: "He must have a foot like a traction engine." A second reply said: "This geezer is moving like Gerrard."

He added: "He’s a top bloke, a top guy and it’s easy to step into the team and the dressing room and stuff like this.
