Demarai Gray is in talks to join Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson’s Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq, with the Everton winger yesterday appearing to take a swipe at manager Sean Dyche.
The winger has been linked with a move away from Merseyside througout the summer, and a transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab was agreed in August.
Gray currently remains an Everton player but is yet to appear in a matchday squad this season and was close to joining Fulham before a move failed to materialise.
He posted on Instagram: ‘Everton fans have always been great with me but it’s so difficult to play for someone who don’t show you respect as a person.’
Gray arrived at Goodison Park from Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 and has made 75 appearances since.

He featured regularly under Dyche last season as Everton narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.
There have been doubts throughout the summer about Gray’s long-term future under the current Everton boss.
Dyche did not suggest that Gray would be leaving any time soon following his side’s 2-2 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday.
Asked why Gray is yet to feature this season, he said: ‘It was a bit of everything – his fitness, his fitness to play in the side, the situation around him and all of the noise.

Everton picked up their first point of the Premier League season courtesy of a 2-2 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday.
‘Hopefully, over the next couple of weeks that will become clear and he will get himself fit as a start.’
It is understood Gray is angered at Everton’s reluctance to sell him.
The Toffees are very light on numbers after losing Alex Iwobi, Tom Cannon and Neal Maupay without replacing them on Deadline Day.
They named just seven of a possible nine substitutes on Saturday, two of which were goalkeepers.
