The Champions League group-stage draw takes place in Monaco on Thursday as Europe’s elite wait to find out their fate.
Arsenal news, exclusives and analysis
The Champions League draw will be held at 5pm GMT and the 32 teams who have qualified for the group stage have been split into four seeding pots.
Pot 1 includes last season’s Champions League winners Manchester City, the Europa League holders Sevilla and six domestic champions. Pots 2 to 4 are determined by UEFA’s club coefficient rankings.
Manchester United and Arsenal are in Pot 2, while Celtic and Newcastle United, who are in the Champions League group stage for the first time since 2002, are in Pot 4.
No team from the same nation can be drawn in the same group.
As usual, the top two teams in each Champions League group will advance to the round of 16. The third-placed sides in each group move to the Europa League knockout round play-offs, where they will face the Europa League group runners-up for places in the last 16.
This season’s Champions League final will be held at Wembley on June 1, 2024.
