An Arsenal fan has been thrown out of the Emirates after squaring up to Samir Nasri and throwing punches at supporters, according to reports.

The supporter is alleged to have squared up to the former Gunner and Manchester City player, who made 125 appearances for the North Londoners between 2008 and 2011.

They are also understood to have began throwing punches at fellow Arsenal fans, before they were pulled away and dragged out by stewards at the Emirates Stadium. It is unclear what started the alleged altercation.

During his days wearing the red and white of Arsenal, Nasri was a popular player at the club. In his 125 appearances, he contributed 27 goals and 15 assists while playing under Arsene Wenger.

However, he departed the club under a mighty dark cloud, after handing in a transfer request to leave the club in the summer of 2011. He eventually got his wish when he moved to City in a £25m deal.

If they were not already, Nasri burned many bridges with Arsenal when he hit out at their supporters, upon signing for City. He said: "Arsenal have good fans but not that passionate since they moved from Highbury.

"City fans are really passionate. When we played against City, the crowd was amazing. That's what I want." He also hit out at the club for not letting him leave the club earlier when he said: "It is a big relief because there were long, long negotiations between the two clubs.

"Now I am finally a City player and that's all I wanted since the start. It is a big day for me. It is a new start. I was a little bit frustrated because I said to the manager I wanted to leave. I stayed for the whole pre-season. I wanted to do the pre-season with Manchester to know my team-mates."

Between 2011 and 2017, he helped himself to 27 goals and 40 assists in 176 appearances for City, winning two Premier League titles and the League Cup.
