Lewis Hamilton is now two years without a win in Formula 1 with rival Max Verstappen continuing to dominate the sport – winning three straight championships. That makes it 45 consecutive races without a win for the British superstar driver in what has been the biggest drought of his career.
With the 2023 season over, Hamilton ended up finishing in third place behind Verstappen – who won an incredible 19 races while second-place Sergio Perez won just two.
That means Hamilton’s last win was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, back in 2021. With Mercedes looking a way off the front of the grid, that streak looks likely to continue next season – with the legendary driver hoping to get back in the winners column as soon as he can.
But Hamilton’s streak is not close to his 2007 teammates, with two-time champion Fernando Alonso going a whopping 10 years without a win on the podium – a whopping 179 races. Alonso has struggled greatly for the past eight years prior to a strong 2023 season – with six years finishing outside the top 10.
Alonso will have been hoping his switch to Aston Martin be the key to ending his winless streak in F1, but so far, he’s been unable to even reach the podium.
No one thought his victory in Barcelona in 2013 would be his last in Formula 1. But after driving uncompetitive Ferraris and McLaren-Hondas, he took a two-year break before joining Alpine in 2021.
His best result in his third stint at Enstone was a podium finish in Qatar in 2021. Then, he made a surprise move to Aston Martin for the 2023 season.

Verstappen looks to be a genuine threat to overtake both drivers though, with three championships at the age of just 26 – while dominating the sport at an unseen level last year.
