The first press conference for Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou descended into chaos before it had even got underway.

Fury was speaking to the Top Rank Boxing panel when British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley allegedly got into a confrontation with David Adeleye.

The cameras didn't pick up the incident, but Wardley was seen with blood trickling down his face afterwards having been cut on the left side of his head.

Meanwhile, security scrambled to diffuse the situation as members from both teams brawled along the red carpet. The Gypsy King turned around mid-interview to see what was unfolding.

"It's all getting a little bit chaotic on the red carpet, not too sure what's going on there. Things always get a little bit heated but we're going to keep it rolling here," said the host.

After a minute's pause, Fury returned and told them: "I was thinking it was my brother, but it wasn't so it's fine." Before he joked: "That fight has stolen my thunder – I'll have to have a word!"

YouTube channel Seconds Out captured the moment it all kicked off – with Adeleye approaching Wardley while he was speaking to them and shoving him in the chest, as you can watch below.

It was set to be announced that Wardley would be facing Adeleye on the undercard of Fury's crossover fight with MMA star Ngannou. Whether his title, which he won last November, will be on the line remains unclear.

It usually cannot be defended outside the UK, and the 'Battle of the Baddest' event is going to be held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. Fight night, which will be available on TNT Sports Box Office, is Saturday October 28.
