No. 4 UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall and No 2 Sergei Pavlovich are both officially eligible to win interim gold at UFC 295 after successfully weighing in on Friday morning.

The heavyweight co-headliners stepped onto the scales in the second hour of weigh-ins, with Aspinall having a 1.8lbs advantage over his counterpart.

The Englishman weighed in at 10:00 AM sharp, registering 261.6lbs. 14 minutes later, the Russian knockout artist, Pavlovich, tipped the scales at 259.8lbs.

At Thursday’s press conference, Aspinall addressed how his ability to move around despite his heavyweight stature will be the key to his victory on Saturday night.

‘I’m not gonna stand in the middle of the cage and have a shootout with him, I’m not gonna have a d***-measuring competition with him,’ Aspinall joked. ‘Both literally and figuratively because he’ll probably win both. We’ll see what happens.’
