WILL Price’s effort to cling to Captain Arjento’s neck after the pair left the Warracknabeal barriers on Saturday was remarkable.
Already identified as a rising star, the South Australian teenager proved his toughness by showing no ill effects after parting company with the horse and tumbling to the track.
Captain Arjento was his final booking at Warracknabeal, but Price was cleared to ride at Hamilton on Sunday.
Price rode a winning double at Sandown during the week and at his only other ride at Warracknabeal finished second on Boom Boom Sweet for Matt Cumani.
This is extraordinary vision. Remarkable stuff from @WILLPRICE50 to hang on as long as he did. 😯 pic.twitter.com/HWT40DroPD
