BELIEVE IN LOVE is fancied to take the step up to Group 2 level in her stride to beat six rivals for the bet365 Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes (3.15) as racing goes back behind closed doors at Doncaster today.
To say Roger Varian’s three-year-old is on the up is a gross understatement – she has won her last four races, including a vixtory from a British Horseracing Authority mark of 96 at Newmarket at the end of last month.
This afternoon's assignment is her toughest yet, but Believe In Love has plenty more to offer and can prove up to the job.
Varian is also the man to follow in the card’s other Group 2, the bet365 May Hill Stakes (2.10, in which ZABEEL QUEEN is expected to take her record to two wins from as many starts.
There was much to like about the way the daughter of Frankel scored on her debut in a seven furlong novice event for fillies on Ascot’s King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes undercard.
Zabeel Queen motored clear to beat Snow Lantern by a length and a quarter, and Town Moor’s mile should suit her well.
Kevin Ryan’s UNCLE JUMBO ran well to finish fourth in the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Stakes at York, and the debut Doncaster scorer should give another good account in the Weatherbys Racing Bank £200,000 2-Y-O Stakes (2.40).
Rossa Ryan (no relation) rode MEU AMOR to score at Pontefract last month and a BHA rating of 78 may underestimate the Ralph Beckett trainee in the British Stallion Studs EBF "Carrie Red" Fillies' Nursery Handicap (1.40).
Only once has BROUGHTONS GOLD met with defeat in four starts in 2020, and the Tom Clover-saddled son of Lethal Force should be feared in the Price Promise At bet365 Handicap (3.45).
