Ian Wright believes Edinson Cavani could be the crucial player needed to help break down West Brom in Manchester United's upcoming Premier League clash against the Baggies.
Cavani has proved to be a shrewd signing for the Red Devils, and has scored six goals and created two assists in the Premier League so far.
He is regularly rotated with Anthony Martial in the No.9 position, with the Frenchman preferred in the FA Cup fifth round tie against West Ham on Tuesday.
But speaking on his Wrighty's House podcast, the former Arsenal striker explained why he thinks Cavani must be selected for Sunday's game against Sam Allardyce's outfit.
"The way they (United) are playing now and we know that they like to break, playing against West Brom will be Big Sam's dream," Wright said.
"We saw what he did to Liverpool up there and it’s going to be that kind of situation for Man Utd, he’s going to make that tough.
"If it means he’s going to play five [at the back] and four in front and the one guy who’s going to be in front of them then Man Utd have got to try to break that down, which we know is their achilles heel.
"This is where people like Cavani have to play because the one bit of movement, the one bit of quality from [Bruno] Fernandes and that could be enough to beat West Brom.
"But that game is not a foregone conclusion simply because West Brom will probably relish that kind of defensive challenge than any other at the moment against a Man United side that we know it sometimes just doesn’t happen."
It remains to be seen if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heeds Wright's advice, but he may have one eye on United's Europa League last-16 first leg tie against Real Sociedad, which takes place in Turin next Thursday.
