Porto are said to have hired a 'witch doctor' in their quest to regain Primeira Liga glory from rivals Sporting – paying a small fortune for her services across the 2021/22 season.
The Dragons had won two of the last three league titles before last season, during which they slipped down to second below Sporting after one matchweek and remained behind them the rest of the campaign.
As part of their attempts to claim back the bragging rights, club president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa is said to have brought in Madalane Aroso as a doctor back in July.
With Porto directors said to be treating Aroso as a medic, she is reportedly earning just short of an astonishing £13,000 per calendar month, working out as £150,000 a season.
Portuguese media have reported that the professional is the highest paid staff member at the club, which has raised some eyebrows to say the very least.
Described as a 'clairvoyant' by ABola, it has been questioned how Aroso has been brought in at the Estadio do Dragao while they are under the watchful eye of UEFA's Financial Fair Play Regulations.
Porto had a net spend of just £3million in the summer despite finishing second in the table last season, bringing in midfielder Pepe and defender Wendell and selling Danilo Pereira to PSG.

Aroso is said to have been brought into the club back in July, and is said to have inadvertently caused 'some harm' among staff morale due to her lucrative salary.
Her abilities are said to include reading into the future and seeing the outcome of matches, and they currently sit ahead of Sporting on goal difference.
Spiritual methods have been used in football in the past, with former England boss Glenn Hoddle bringing in faith healer Eileen Drewery to treat his players.
Hoddle has said of the appointment: "I first saw Eileen when I was 17 and she helped me with an injury.
"I had seen what she had done with other players. And I thought what we did for my father was incredible.
“Within 20 minutes she healed the bad back of his that he had for blooming donkey’s years. In a way I looked on her as an extension of the new medical staff.”
