Paul Pogba could be about to land himself a whopping new deal at Manchester United which would see him take home £800,000-a-week.

And the new contract certainly would see the Frenchman rank among the highest-paid players in world football.

Pogba has previously been poised to leave Old Trafford after repeated attempts to engineer a transfer away from the club.

But Daily Star Sport now understands the player's controversial agent Mino Raiola has told United a £500,000-a-week salary would be enough to persuade the midfielder to stay.

Pogba would earn roughly another £300,000-a-week each week due to lucrative image rights, meaning he would scooping around £3.2m each month.

The 28-year-old is back to his best after staying fit for a sustained period of time.

But Pogba is also aware the clock is ticking and he may only have one mega-money move left in him before he hangs in his boots in the coming years.

His new demands would certainly ask a lot of United chiefs and the club's finances.
