Transfers can now go ahead with January 2021 upon us and the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and more have already been surrounded by rumours.
Arsenal are keen on a creative midfielder while Liverpool are looking at centre-backs with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez out long-term.
Mauricio Pochettino's arrival at Paris St-Germain as manager has raised eyebrows and he will no doubt be looking to put his own stamp on the squad.
Clubs may be more interested in free transfers, though, especially in this financial climate amid the Covid-19 crisis.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is one such player whose contract expires in the summer and Chelsea have been linked.
Daily Star Sport has been through the latest transfer rumours and given each a rating of how likely the deal is.
Today’s rumours that we rate
United cool Sancho interest
United were desperate to sign Jadon Sancho in the summer, that is no secret, but they ultimately failed in their plot.
Borussia Dortmund demanded £109m for the Englishman which Old Trafford officials refused to meet.
And with the 20-year-old failing to score a league goal so far, the Red Devils are prepared to call off a summer raid and with Amad Diallo arriving this month, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has other areas of the squad to improve.
Daily Star says: 9/10 – Sensible decision from United

Poch eyes double deal
Pochettino has surprised some after agreeing to become PSG's next manager but for two players, it will come as a relief.
Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have endured nightmare seasons at Tottenham and Inter Milan respectively.
Both were already linked with a move to the Parc des Princes prior to Poch's arrival, and the duo enjoyed their best football under him at Spurs.
Daily Star says: 8/10 – Almost nailed on, all parties happy
Donnarumma to Chelsea
Despite signing Edouard Mendy last summer, Chelsea are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options with Kepa Arrizabalaga completely out of favour.
Donnarumma is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to talk to other clubs over a free transfer.
Mendy has been decent this year but turns 29 in March and is not the long-term answer at Stamford Bridge, but there remains question marks over whether Donnarumma would ditch his boyhood club for the Premier League.

Today’s rumours that we don’t rate
Reds want White
With Liverpool's defensive options sidelined, Brighton star Ben White has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield.
The Englishman has been a shining light for the Seagulls and is highly-rated by several top clubs in the Premier League.
But with Graham Potter's men battling against relegation, letting go of of their best players midway through the season makes little sense.
Daily Star says: 3/10 – Slim chance in January
Erling Haaland is the talk of the town after continuing his jawdropping form this season – netting 16 in 12 appearances.
Every club will be chasing the Norwegian and United are no different, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on a reunion with the striker he worked with at Molde.
But there will be better options in the summer, including their rivals Manchester City, who also employed his father – so Solskjaer may have to look elsewhere.
Daily Star says: 4/10 – Improbable, but don't rule it out
Arsenal's Christie raid
The Gunners are desperate for some creativity in midfield with Mesut Ozil still ostracised.
Mikel Arteta does not have much to spend, though, and Celtic star Ryan Christie has been touted as a potential option.
Kieran Tierney is close pals with the Scotsman but with Emile Smith Rowe emerging as a real talent, a move for the Hoops ace seems unlikely.
