Tottenham are reportedly back in the mix for Dean Henderson after the goalkeeper lost his place in the Manchester United side. The former Sheffield United loanee appeared to finally leapfrog David de Gea to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s No 1 but the Spaniard has now moved back ahead of him in the pecking order.
The decision from Solskjaer now throws Henderson’s long-term United future into doubt given that he wants to play regularly.
Henderson was on the bench on Tuesday as United drew 1-1 with Fulham in front of 10,000 fans at Old Trafford.
De Gea is also now expected to start the Europa League final next Wednesday against Villarreal in Gdansk.
The long-serving United goalkeeper has not been at his best this season and found himself on the bench upon his return from Spain following the birth of his child.

Yet Henderson’s shaky performance against Liverpool that saw him concede four goals has swung in De Gea’s favour.
However, according to Sky Sports, the situation has re-alerted a number of top clubs who registered an interest in Henderson several months ago.
That includes Tottenham, who are conscious that Hugo Lloris has just one year remaining on his current deal.

Lille’s Mike Maignan was another name under consideration but he looks set to join AC Milan.
Henderson has always been clear that he wants to play regularly after his taste of Premier League action at Bramall Lane.
Privately, Old Trafford chiefs are said to be preparing to let one of Henderson or De Gea leave this summer.
The latter has been linked with a reunion with his former boss Jose Mourinho at Roma.
He is one of United’s highest-earners on £350,000 a week and is contracted at the club until the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile, Henderson signed a new bumper five-year deal last summer that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2025.
The gesture shows just how highly regarded he is by the club and that they are planning with him moving forward.
Chelsea have also previously shown an interest in the 24-year-old.
