So 13 of United’s last 16 matches have featured this!

Istanbul Basaksehir have lost each of their maiden Champions League group stage matches 2-0.

They have now failed to score in six of nine competitive games in 2020/21, with all five defeats coming by way of a 2-0 scoreline.

So the 2-0 to United scoreline tonight? It's an 11/2 shot with thepools.com and there are other trends worth following in tonight's early Champions League kick-off.

United penalty taker Bruno Fernandes has scored in eight of 11 UEFA starts since the beginning of 2019/20, grabbing the game's opener in four of his last seven European appearances, and 13 of United's last 16 competitive matches have featured a penalty. Fernandes is 15/4 to score the first goal tonight and 5/4 to score at any time .

Then there's United's ability to come flying out of the blocks. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men have opened the scoring within 30 minutes in their last three UEFA encounters, while Basaksehir have seen all three of this season's Süper Lig home fixtures replicate the half-time score at full-time.

United to lead half-time and full-time is 21/20 .

There will be some familiar names in the Basaksehir line up, but Demba Ba and Martin Skrtel enjoyed their best days in the Premier League a long time agi, while Nacer Chadli is likely to miss out with injury.

United should win, a 2/5 tip , and no team which has won their opening three group games has ever failed to qualify for the knockout stages.

Chelsea vs Rennes

Chelsea are an even shorter price than United, 4/11 , despite facing a much better side, with recent results from Frank Lampard's side the explanation.

Despite a wildly inconsistent start, as Chelsea's clutch of new signings have settled down so, too, have results.

The Blues are unbeaten in their last six and have scored seven without reply in their last two games, admittedly against mediocre opposition in Krasnodar and Burnley.

The French club, meanwhile, earned only their first win in six in all competitions at the weekend against Stade Brest. But don't be taken in by that sniffy looking run. Rennes have lost only twice all season – once narrowly in Sevilla – and are capable of making Chelsea work hard for a win.

With four successive clean sheets across all competitions – and no goals conceded in the Champions League yet, Thiago Silva, Chilwell and co. are capable of keeping another clean sheet, and with Rennes have only scored once in their two Champions League outings to date, Chelsea 1-0 and 2-0 are worth investigating at 13/2 and 11/2 respectively.

Hakim Ziyech has scored in his last two outings now and is 11/2 to open the scoring tonight and 9/5 to score at any time in the match.
