Romelu Lukaku has named Mason Greenwood as Manchester United’s best young player.
Lukaku spent two years at United before he left to join up with Antonio Conte at Inter last summer.
And the Belgium international clearly saw enough of Greenwood to be impressed by the 18-year-old.
Greenwood was given his first-team debut by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season in United’s 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
And Lukaku, who scored twice in that game, has backed Greenwood to be a success at Old Trafford.
In a Q&A with fans, when asked to name United’s best young player, Lukaku replied: ‘Greenwood that boy coldddddd.’
‘Both experiences were good,’ the striker replied.
‘People can say it was s*** [for] both, [but] for me it was good as one club gave me an opportunity to come to England a learn from my idols.
‘The other came at the right for me to make a step up and play in the Champions League.’
