Paris Saint-Germain ‘target Tiemoue Bakayoko with Chelsea flop dreaming of move to French giants once midfielder’s loan at Monaco ends’
- Paris Saint-Germain are planning a move for Chelsea flop Timoue Bakayoko
- The midfielder is dreaming of the move once his loan with Monaco ends
- The 25-year-old is keen to return to the city where he was born and raised
Chelsea flop Tiemoue Bakayoko has emerged as a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain, with the midfielder reported to be highly interested in returning to the city he was raised.
The 25-year-old has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since joining for £40million and spent last season out on loan at AC Milan before re-joining Monaco for this season, where he made his name prior to his big-money move.
The midfielder is expected to be surplus to requirements when he returns to Chelsea at the end of the season and is on the radar of Ligue 1 giants PSG who are keen to add physicality to their midfield, according to Le 10 Sport.
PSG target Tiemoue Bakayoko is believed to be dreaming of a move to Paris Saint-Germain
Bakayoko, who was born and raised in the French capital, is believed to have his heart set on the move in order to return to the city where many of his relatives still live.
Monaco have the option to re-sign him at the end of the season, but have reportedly decided that they do not want to pay the £40million asking price.
The French publication report that while no deal is currently in place, the player’s agent’s strong relationship with the French club could be a key factor to the move going through.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea in 2017 but has failed to nail down a starting spot at Stamford Bridge
The midfielder is admired by PSG sporting director Leonardo, who signed him for AC Milan
Bakayoko is represented by German agency Rogon owned by Roger Wittmann, who has facilitated moves to PSG for Julian Draxler, Thilo Kehrer and Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting in recent years and is known to manager Thomas Tuchel and sporting director Leonardo.
Leonardo is an admirer of Bakayoko after signing him on loan for AC Milan last season and the £40m price tag is unlikely to be an issue for the big-spending French giants.
