Neymar finally declares "love" for model girlfriend after surprise birthday bash

PSG striker Neymar has gushed: “I love you” in his most open display of affection so far for his model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi.

And the stunning brunette returned the compliment after the Brazilian international organised a surprise birthday party for her in Paris. The couple went to great lengths to avoid making their relationship public when they started seeing each other.

But Neymar showed he wants the world to know he is in love with the model and influencer with an emotional message on Instagram to mark her 28th birthday.

The 30-year-old, whose love life appears to be back on track despite a torrid time on the pitch this season which has seen him booed by his own fans, wrote alongside a photo of Bruna letting her hair down at the party he organised for her: “Bru, beautiful. I wish you all the best things in this world. May you fulfil all your dreams.

“The day is yours but we’re the ones who get the present. So happy to have you in my life. I love you.” He ended his message, his first declaring his love for the new woman in his life, with a heart emoticon.

Bruna, who lives between Brazil and Paris although she is spending more and more time in the French capital, replied in a message seen by Neymar’s 173 million Instagram fans: “Handsome. I’m speechless. Thank you for everything. I hope this is just the beginning and God blesses us always. I love youuuuu.”

In a separate message posted on her own Instagram, showing her being cuddled by Neymar alongside her loved ones, she added in reference to the party the footballer organised: “Thank you for this incredible present, for this surprise and for thinking about every little detail.

“Having my family with me on my birthday has been very special. I love you all.” Neymar’s last serious girlfriend was Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine. They split for the second time in 2018.

The footballer was linked with Argentinian singer Emilia Mernes, but never confirmed they were an item, before starting to date his current partner. He celebrated Christmas Day at his new £2.5million mansion in Brazil, in an area called Alphaville near Sao Paulo, with Bruna Biancardi.

She was pictured alongside him in snaps he posted on social media the day before the family Christmas dinner during a visit to see his beloved grandmother.

It prompted Brazilian press to describe her as the first partner Neymar has introduced to his relatives since Bruna Marquezine. The Brazilian ace, who has a ten-year-old son called Davi Lucca with another ex, confirmed he was with his new love in January by posting photos of them kissing and cuddling each other on social media.

Last month Bruna Biancardi lashed out at claims she was trying to imitate his former partner. Internet haters took her to task after she posted a photo of herself being given a bottom massage by Natasha Ramos, the same health professional Bruna Marquezine uses.

Both women are understood to have undergone a procedure known in Brazil as 'Round Gluteo', a favourite with the rich and famous which involves the smoothing and firming-up of the backside and includes an injection in the buttocks.

Bruna Biancardi responded by insisting she wasn’t trying to imitate anyone and claiming critics were “going over the top.” She wrote in a direct message to her online trolls: “The doctor and the clinic invited me. I was not the one who went after them.

“This photo is taken with all the patients, simple as that. I don’t want to imitate anyone, you were the ones that began with this story about me looking like X or Y and now you’re obsessed. This went a bit over the top. If I put on lipstick, if I sit in a certain way, if I go somewhere, even the dog I’ve had for years has been a problem.”

She added: “I’m the way I am, I always have been and people who know me see that. I don’t know Bruna Marquezine personally and have absolutely nothing against her. Why would I? I admire her as a woman, like several others I also admire and that’s not envy.

"If you learnt that the right thing is to like only one person and belittle the others you learnt wrong. Stop creating comparisons with the intention of creating rivalry and use your time to do more productive things. You’ll see then how everything will flow better.”
