Footage has emerged of the moment Cristiano Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute during Manchester United's 2-0 win over Tottenham last week – and it makes for damning viewing.
The 37-year-old is seen shaking his head and wagging his finger at United manager Erik ten Hag before leaving the bench and strolling towards the tunnel in a huff, having been left on the bench all game.
Ronaldo was banished from first team training and left out of United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Saturday as punishment, leaving his Old Trafford future hanging in the balance (again).

While his actions were widely condemned, there were some, such as former team-mates Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand, who defended him. Though even the most ardent of Ronaldo supporter might struggle to excuse him after seeing this new footage, which appears to confirm that he directly disobeyed Ten Hag's orders.
Though, much like all things to do with the Portugal superstar, reaction on social media was polarised, with one Ronaldo fan tweeting: "Ronaldo is not just another player, Ten Hag should've spoken to him properly."
Another commented: "So sad to see, Ronaldo deserves better."

Others felt a little differently, with one user writing: "Proves Ronaldo did refuse to come on. What a d***. Get him out of the club."
Another agreed, saying: "Fans don't seem to grasp how disrespectful Ronaldo is being to everyone here. To his coach, to his team-mates, to the fans. Unacceptable."
United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville got into a heated debate about the situation following Saturday's draw at Stamford Bridge, with Neville insisting Ronaldo needed to part ways with the club and Keane adamant that a player of Ronaldo's calibre should let off the hook.
Last week marked the second time that Ronaldo has left the stadium mid-match since Ten Hag took charge with the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward leaving Old Trafford at half time after getting hooked during United's pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Ten Hag and Ronaldo, though, have held clear-the-air talks this week and the superstar returned to training on Tuesday.
