Mbappe overheard appearing to tell Alba he will "kill him on the street"

Footage has picked up Kylian Mbappe seemingly threatening to "kill" Jordi Alba during Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League game against Barcelona.

The French forward put in a scintillating performance at the Nou Camp as his hat-trick inspired his side to a 4-1 victory in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Mbappe was clearly a man with a point to prove, and looked to be fired up for the occasion.

And he demonstrated that he is no shrinking violet when it comes to confrontation when he got involved in a tussle with Barca's Alba.

A video has emerged of the two engaging in a heated conversation in Spanish after a foul had been committed.

Alba can be seen pointing at Mbappe while Moise Kean holds him back, with Alba heard saying: "You are getting too big for your boots."

Mbappe then appears to twice say: "In the streets I will kill you."

Barca defender Gerard Pique then gets involved, asking: "Who are you going to kill? Who are you going to kill?" before adding "He's learning… the kid is learning."

In the end Mbappe let his football do the talking, and PSG appear to have all but confirmed their progression to the quarter-finals.

The 22-year-old star has been linked with a move away from PSG in recent months, with Liverpool and Real Madrid among the clubs touted as potential destinations.

But speaking after the game Mbappe gave little away about his future.

"It would be stupid to decide my future on a single match," he told RMC Sport.

"The truth is that it is about reflecting for the long term. I have always said that I am happy here. This sort of match makes me even happier."

The second leg of the tie takes place in Paris on March 10, and Barcelona will need to score at least four goals to stand any chance of causing an enormous upset.
