Manchester United vs Leeds LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture today

Manchester United welcome Leeds United to Old Trafford today in a throwback Premier League match-up.

As inconsistent as Man United have been this season, they’re not as far removed from the mix at the top of the table as one might presume. A win here could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s seventh-placed team rise as high as third in the standings, depending on how clinical they can be in front of goal and taking into account Tottenham’s defeat by Leicester earlier in the day.

Fourteenth Leeds, meanwhile, could enter the top half of the table with three points in Manchester this afternoon as their first season in the top flight since 2003/04 continues. Marcelo Bielsa’s men were 5-2 winners against Newcastle last time out thanks to a late flourish of three goals in the final 15 minutes at Elland Road. Man United, for their part, come into the game on the back of a 3-2 victory over bottom Sheffield United – a result that did not come without its difficulties. Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo, Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison were the goalscorers for Leeds against the Magpies, while it was a Marcus Rashford brace and Anthony Martial finish that saw Man United past the Blades.
