Manchester United have been boosted by news that West Ham are prepared to cash in on Issa Diop this summer.
The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for the French defender, who was also rumoured to be of interest to Chelsea.
Despite spending big on Harry Maguire last summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to fully resolve his defensive problems, and Diop could help.
West Ham up until now have always been reluctant to sell the 23-year-old, but it seems that their stance has now changed.
According to Sky Sports , the Hammers will now consider offers if their £45million valuation is met.
David Moyes is looking to push on after steering the club from relegation but needs more funds to help him do that.
Cashing in on Diop would boost the coffers at the club and allow him to conduct more business for new players.
United were first linked with a swoop a year ago but were put off the £75m valuation.
Paying £30m less than that for the centre-back would certainly appeal, if Solskjaer still wanted to do business.
The Frenchman is reportedly open to a move for further enhance his chance of breaking into the national team.
But there are said to be two other Premier League clubs also monitoring the situation regarding the defender.
