Man Utd hero Ronaldo ‘available for £25m’ despite Juventus’ public stance

Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus for as little as £25m this summer – despite his club's hardline stance.

The Portugal international will take a holiday before returning to pre-season training with the Old Lady.

But his future remains very much up in the air with his agent Jorge Mendes already working tirelessly to lay out his options.

Staying at Juve is possible but that looks strenuous at the moment considering Ronaldo's wishes and the club's finances.

Fabio Paratici, their former sporting director, has left the Turin outfit to join Tottenham this summer and he was a huge driving force for the deal that took Ronaldo to Juventus in the first place.

But with him now out of the picture, the Serie A giants are open to pull the plug on the experiment and save themselves a ton of cash in the process.

Despite signing the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for a fee of just under £100m, they are prepared to accept a fraction of that amount.

According to Gazzetta, that figure stands at £25m as interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain grows.

As a result, Juventus could save over £75m in wages along – with the club meeting Mendes to discuss the future.

Ronaldo has no plans of slowing down despite turning 36 this year, after scoring 36 times in 44 appearances for the Bianconeri.

That is even despite Juve's turgid season in Serie A where they finished fourth – the first time in 10 years they have not won the Scudetto.

The ex- Real Madrid forward was also in fine form for Portugal at the Euros, scoring five in four games.

He drew level with Ali Daei's international record as a result – but could not get on the scoresheet against Belgium in the round of 16.

Thorgan Hazard scored the only goal of the match to send the Selecao home and knock the holders out.
