Manchester United have announced that John Murtough will become the club's new football director, and the former Head of Development has already uncovered a player dubbed the 'next Bruno Fernandes'.
United confirmed a major backroom shake-up on Wednesday, with Darren Fletcher taking up the role of technical director.
And during Murtough's time with the youth sides, he helped uncover one of the most exciting talents to come through in recent years.
Hannibal Mejbri, 18, is widely regarded as one of United's most exciting youngsters.
The playmaker has been capped by the France under-17 team, was signed from AS Monaco back in 2019 in a deal worth up to £9million.
He plays in the middle of midfield or in a number ten role, and is considered the long-term heir to Fernandes.
Hannibal is yet to make his senior debut for United, but is tipped for stardom before too long.
The French youth international was originally scouted at the age of 16 by Murtough, with the idea of playing in a friendly against Kristiansund.
United under-18 boss Nicky Butt has heaped praise on Hannibal, and it is believed that he could make the step up to the senior side this season.
In a statement, Woodward indicated that the decision to promote Murtough was made due to his track record of attracting young talent and developing them through to being ready for senior football.
Woodward said: “These are hugely important appointments that reinforce the progress we have been making as a club in recent years in our relentless pursuit of success.
“We have already made great strides forward in the way we run our football operations, and the benefits are visible in the resurgent pipeline of Academy talent reaching the first team and through our improved recruitment record.

“John has been integral to our progress in these areas and his deep understanding of development ensures the club’s traditions of bringing young players through from Academy to first team will continue.
“This new position is a natural evolution that harnesses his leadership qualities and his years of experience in the game."
The club also confirmed that as part of Murtough's new role, he will work alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a daily basis.
