Man Utd chief Ed Woodward targeting three players after striking Jadon Sancho agreement

Manchester United have reportedly agreed an initial £60million fee for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. Only the amount of add-ons, thought to be between £30m-£40m, are left to be wrapped up.

Sancho is keen to return to the Premier League, three years after he left Manchester City in pursuit of regular football.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the England international his top priority and a deal is now closer than ever.

Young striker Mason Greenwood had been tasked with plugging the void on the right side of United’s attack.

But Sancho can help take the club to the next level as they attempt to build on their third placed finish in the Premier League.

Solskjaer has been trying to overhaul the squad and he will attempt to complete the job this summer.

The Independent claim Woodward is on the verge of securing his first marquee transfer of the window.

The United chief will then apparently turn his attention to finding a new striker and midfielder.

It is thought Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish tops the Red Devils’ wishlist in the middle of the park.

A host of top strikers, such as Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

But there is not yet a firm favourite to challenge Anthony Martial and Odion Ighalo for a starting spot.

If there is any of the budget remaining then the Independent claim the search will begin for a new centre-back.

Solskjaer longs for a permanent partner for Harry Maguire but that is not deemed a necessity.

Player sales could lead to an increased budget which would then allow United to bring in another defender.

Ex-target Nathan Ake is on the verge of joining Manchester City in a £41m deal from Bournemouth.

Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly is regularly linked with a move to United, as is RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano.
