While Liverpool appear to have completed their major transfer business this summer, there are still a few deals to complete in the coming days.
Premier League clubs are still permitted to do business with EFL sides between now and Friday, and while the Reds might not be bringing in any new bodies from the second tier, there may be squad members making their way to the Championship, League One or League Two.
A number of players have been sent out on loan this summer, with Marko Grujic the most recent, and there might be further deals on the horizon.
As Liverpool ’s players prepare to play their final matches of the international break, we’ve got the latest on another potential exit, as well as new details on a couple of other players who have been on the back pages over the last few months.
Four Championship sides keen on Wilson loan
Harry Wilson failed to complete a permanent move away from Liverpool before the October 5 deadline, but the Welshman’s omission from the Reds’ European squad has sparked interest from clubs in the second tier.
Wilson scored 18 goals during a loan stint with Derby County in the 2018/19 season, and the Rams are among the sides exploring the possibility of a loan swoop.
According to the Telegraph’s John Percy, Cardiff City, Norwich City and Nottingham Forest are also interested in the Wales international, whose only Liverpool minutes this term came in the Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal.
Wilson is currently away on international duty, having started for Wales against Ireland on Sunday, but there will be time for a move to be completed upon his return.
Liverpool-linked forward could leave Barcelona in January
Barcelona could let Ousmane Dembele leave for as little as £45m in the winter transfer window, but only if the winger is unable to agree a new contract at the Camp Nou.
The French international, who was linked with Liverpool and Manchester United this summer, has played just 20 minutes under new Barca manager Ronald Koeman.
According to reports in Spain (via the ECHO), the Catalan club are keen to sign Dembele to a new deal to ensure they get more of a return on their £97m investment if he is sold.
However, if they are unable to agree fresh terms, Sport reports Barca would accept a fee of less than half what they paid Borussia Dortmund for Dembele in 2017.
The France international’s current Barcelona deal runs until 2022, but injuries have restricted him to just 52 La Liga appearances since he joined the club three years ago.

Loris Karius is spending the 2020/21 season back in his native Germany, having completed a season-long loan move to Union Berlin.
The goalkeeper is under contract at Liverpool until 2022, but spent the last two campaigns on loan in Turkey and is pushing for a Union debut after completing his switch at the end of September.
Speaking to Bild (via Sport Witness), the 27-year-old admitted he considered staying at Anfield this season before eventually deciding he would rather be starting games week in, week out.
“The option to stay was definitely there because, even if you are not the first goalkeeper, you get your playing time through the cup competitions and the many games,” Karius said.
“Then the decision matured that I wanted to be in goal week after week.
“I still have a few more years of contract with Liverpool, and I don’t know what the situation will look like next summer.”
