Manchester United face stiff competition from Juventus for the signature of Ajax’s highly-talented midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to reports.
The 18-year-old, who has drawn comparisons to United star Paul Pogba, has attracted plenty of interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs after emerging from Ajax’s famed youth academy to then star in Erik ten Hag’s first team.
And according to Italian publication Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have joined United in the race for Gravenberch’s signature having already signed Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax in the summer of 2019.

Juventus are reportedly hoping that their strong relationship with agent Mino Raiola, who represents Gravenberch, can get any potential deal over the line.
Raiola also played a key role in bringing Dutch centre back De Ligt to Turin last year in an eye-watering £67.8million deal.
Pirlo, who surprisingly took over as Juventus boss in the summer, is looking to add some exciting talents to his ranks as he hopes to usher in a new era.
And 18-year-old Dutchman Gravenberch has recently emerged as one of the most exciting youngsters around.
Gravenberch has the perfect technique to go alongside his physicality in the heart of midfield, and he has already become integral to the Ajax side.

Gravenberch has interest from a host of Europe’s biggest, including Man United and Barcelona
Gravenberch has already made 23 appearances for the Eredivisie giants, scoring four goals and producing three assists for his team-mates.
The teenager’s efforts on the pitch have already been recognised by a wide audience after he recently made the final 20-man shortlist for this year’s Golden Boy award.
But if Juventus are to be successful in their pursuit of the talented midfielder, then they must beat United and Spanish giants Barcelona to his signature.
Furthermore, Juve’s pursuit will be made tougher by the fact that Ajax will be reluctant to cash in on one of their most promising stars.
Gravenberch recently signed a new deal in Amsterdam, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2023.
