Joseph Parker believes Tyson Fury is capable of knocking Anthony Joshua out in three rounds and is confident he’ll win the British heavyweight extravaganza.
Joshua took care of business against Kubrat Pulev, stopping the Bulgarian in the ninth round to ensure there were no further hiccups ahead of a mega-fight with Fury.
All the heavyweight world titles would be on the line if the pair meet in 2021, as is expected, and Fury taunted Joshua after watching him beat Pulev.
‘Well there you go everyone, Anthony Joshua just shit himself live on television he got asked did he want the fight and he went around the bushes and put his arse in the edge,’ Fury said in a video on Instagram.
‘I want the fight, I want the fight next and I’ll knock him out inside three rounds. He’s a big bum dosser and I can’t wait to knock him out.’
Asked who wins, New Zealand heavyweight Parker smiled and told IFLTV: ‘Fury.
‘Fury wins that fight. I just think he’s a very smart boxer, he can fight and he’s showed it in his last fight.’
Asked if he believes Fury’s claim that he can get the job done in three rounds, Parker added: ‘If he says that and he believes it then I’m sure he can.
‘You’ve got two champions. Both of them have heart, they can both take a punch and they can both come back from adversity.’
Parker lost his WBO title to Joshua in 2018 after a comprehensive points victory from the Briton at the Millenium Stadium and he wants to see all the belts united now for one champion.
‘It’s the fight we must see,’ said Parker. ‘It’s a fight that should be made and where we can see one champion, one unified champion.
‘I’m not sure what’s holding it up but hopefully everyone comes to terms to make it happen so the world can see a mega, mega fight.’
