Jordan Henderson has dismissed reports of a fight between Alisson and Andy Robertson after Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Leicester City.
In the wake of the Premier League champions’ latest loss, a rumour circulated around social media which claimed that Alisson and Robertson had clashed inside the dressing room.
But the Liverpool captain insists the two players were not involved in a bust-up following the defeat, which has left Jurgen Klopp’s side 13 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League.
When asked about the rumours, Henderson said: ‘I don’t think I even need to comment on something like that.
‘Someone’s sitting behind a keyboard making rumours up about the manager or the players in the dressing room. It doesn’t really need me to say anything about it.
‘Yeah… not true. I quite like the one where Ali and Robbo having a fight, that made us chuckle a little bit, but apart from that, I didn’t really give it much though.
‘Yeah, sorry, that was a rumour, I enjoyed that rumour.’
Henderson also believes Liverpool’s players need to take ‘full responsibility’ for their recent form and has praised Klopp’s handling of the team during their slump.
‘The manager’s really good in situations like this,’ said Henderson.
‘Through adversity the manager is the one we listen to the most. He’s always there for us as players and he tries to protect us as much as possible, like you’ve probably seen in his press conferences.
‘But deep down we know as players we take full responsibility and it’s down to us to go out on the pitch and change the period we’re going through.
‘But the manager, there’s no question marks over how he reacts after games. He actually reacts in probably the total opposite to what people think and handles situations like that very well.
‘And what’s why we want to go out there and put on a performance for the team but for him as well.’
