Cristiano Ronaldo’s team-mates wound him up on Thursday after the Portugal star lost in a training game at Carrington – with some of them claiming the forward was ‘p***d’ at the decision.

The Madeira-born striker has been lauded as one of the greatest players of all time after a sensational career.

Having won five Champions League winner’s medals, two La Liga titles, three Premier Leagues and two Serie A titles, Ronaldo is a player who knows what it takes to win.

His determined attitude has dragged his teams over the line often, with many last-gasp goals as a result.

However, this mentality has also led to infamous incidents in the past where Ronaldo has been sour at minor losses.

And that has happened again recently, with United team-mate Nemanja Matic mocking him on social media.

“Winning team! @cristiano are you ok?,” Matic posted on Instagram in a bid to wind Ronaldo up.

The Serbian was seen celebrating with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, David De Gea, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford after their training ground win.

And others have commented on the Portugal star’s reaction after the loss.

“He lost and was p****d,” teenage winger Amad Diallo confirmed in the comments.

United have recently returned to training after a spate of COVID-19 cases tore through the club.

A total of just 11 players took part in training last week, with just eight outfield players.

And Ralf Rangnick has confirmed he now has an almost full-strength squad to choose from.

“As you know, last week we had our last training session on Thursday with just eight players and three goalkeepers,” Rangnick said.

“Then we closed for four days to break the chain. We returned on Tuesday and today [Thursday] is the third day of training.

“We have 25 players – apart from Paul Pogba, everyone else is on board. So the development in last week was extremely positive.”
