Chris Smalling was robbed at home on Friday morning in a terrifying ordeal for the Roma defender, according to reports from Italy. Smalling, his wife Sam and two-year-old child were home at the time. Three armed robbers broke into his house in the early hours of the morning and forced the former Manchester United star to open the family safe, before taking valuable items.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim Smalling’s wife rang the police just before 5am.
