Chelsea are looking to hand Manchester United a double transfer blow as they step up their pursuit of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with moves for the young English stars in recent months and want to wrap up deals for both in the summer.
Borussia Dortmund superstar Sancho is highly likely to leave Germany in the coming months but many teams are being put of the £120m asking price.
United are thought to be the only team willing to match that amount which would smash the club record fee they paid for Paul Pogba.
According to the Daily Mail though, Chelsea will battle United hard for the England international in the next window.
And they could also try to snatch Birmingham City teenager Bellingham out of their grasps to issue a double blow.
The report says that the Blues intensified their bid to recruit the midfielder prior to the coronavirus lockdown and will step up efforts again in the summer.
Bellingham, who is also wanted by Dortmund and Bayern Munich, was pictured recently leave thew Red Devils’ training ground in Carrington.
The 16-year-old can sign his first fully professional contract when he turns 17 in June but any transfer might now be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has a massive transfer kitty to spend in the summer after not having been able to bringing in any players over the last couple years.
They had their UEFA ban lifted for the January transfer window but still did not sign anyone and could spend big in the next window.
And they hope that Sancho could be persuaded to join them, the club he supported as a boy, and return to London rather than join United.
January’s linked players like Moussa Dembele and Nick Pope are still on Lampard’s list, it is believed, and the club could go in for the pair once more.
