Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman this summer, with Christian Pulisic’s future at the club in doubt. Pulisic is yet to start a Premier League under new boss Thomas Tuchel and he has been linked with an exit.
The American international has played just 134 minutes since Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in January.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Everton on Monday, Tuchel admitted that Pulisic’s lack of game time was “unfair”.
“I cannot say anything but positive things about him [Pulisic],” Tuchel told his post-match press conference.
“Maybe his problem is that from Dortmund I know how strong he is from the bench. I think he only started for us in the cup game.

“In the end it’s my responsibility and my fault but it is a bit unfair but I know what an impact he can have in the last 20-30 mins [off the bench].
“He was unlucky in the last games, it is not a lack of trust or lack of quality, we just have to be patient.
“We have, for example, another guy I would love to mention is Emerson who suffers from bad decisions from me, who does not play but is an amazing guy and trains at the highest level, never lets the team down from his mentality.
“It was a super hard decision today to have him out of the squad, same with Tammy, it’s like this. It tells us we are a strong group and the guys need to keep on fighting, there is no other way.”

As a result, reports have suggested that Pulisic will look to leave the club at the end of the season if the situation does not improve, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern said to be interested.
Now, according to a report from the Daily Mail, Chelsea could make a move for Coman if Pulisic decides to leave.
The Blues are said to have maintained a long-term interest in the winger, having first considered signing him in 2019 when Callum Hudson-Odoi was heavily linked with a move to Bayern.
Coman will enter the final two years of his current contract at the end of the season and Bayern want him to stay.
However, recent reports from German outlet Kicker claim that Coman has rejected the offer of a three-year extension until 2026.
United have also been heavily linked with the 24-year-old and could rival Chelsea for his signature.
However, Bayern’s chairman Karl-Heinze Rummenigge is keen to keep the player at the Allianz Arena, saying in December: “Kingsley is an absolute top player today, and is extremely valuable for Bayern.
“He often makes the difference, just when it counts the most. Kingsley is not for sale.”
