Mauricio Pochettino’s shock sacking as Tottenham manager is relayed in brutal fashion in the club’s All Or Nothing Amazon series.
Cameras captured last season from behind-the-scenes, bringing to life for the fans the goings on at a Premier League football club.
It was supposed to be icing on the cake as the club moved to their new £1billion stadium, but the season did not go to plan.
The standout moment came in November when Argentine boss Pochettino was sacked after five-and-a-half years at the helm.
And a conversation captured by the Amazon cameras of senior Spurs players talking in the canteen shortly after showed the brutal nature of the dismissal.
Jan Vertonghen is telling Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son that Pochettino must have known the end was coming.
“He didn't know already, I spoke to him last night,” Kane said before reporting the conversation to his astonished team-mates.
“The chairman called him and said, ‘Can I talk? It will be a shame but you will need to pack your things and you leave tonight.’”
Chairman Daniel Levy was the man who told Pochettino his time was up, something he has done many times before.
He would have hoped that inviting the Amazon team to film the club the season after it reached a Champions League final would have seen more success on the pitch.
But this was not the case and last year ended up being one of much drama and turmoil.
Part of the documentary shows Levy speaking out in detail about Pochettino’s sacking.
“The perception of me is that I am hard-nosed, stubborn, don't care and not ambitious,” Levy said. “I think a lot of that is unfair.
“I certainly think that I am incredibly ambitious to improve the team, they just don't understand how hard it is to get to that place.
“The engine of the club is the team and I hate it when we lose. It is not something I can directly control – obviously I can influence by hopefully making the right decisions concerning the people running our football club.
“But reaching this decision took a lot of heartache is the honest answer.
“It is never easy when you have to ask somebody to leave the club and when you have been working with somebody for five years it is difficult.
“My heart was telling me don't do it and my brain was telling me I needed to do it. We went away together, we had a lot of fun times outside the club.
“I am sure after a little while we will continue doing that. I think at the moment things are a little bit raw, which is understandable.
“We have mixed emotions and it is not a nice experience for either of us.

“It was the most emotional decision I have had to make. It was more than just an employee/employer relationship.
“Everyone is going to have different opinions. The facts are the results weren't where we need them to be. Now we have to do what we feel is right for the club and only time will tell if it is the right decision.”
The first three episodes of Tottenham’s All Or Nothing series will be released on August 31, with the other five to follow at a later date.
