Brendan Rodgers has backed James Justin to push for a senior England call-up following the full back’s spectacular performances this season.
Justin was playing in League One until he joined Leicester from Luton in 2019 and did not start a top-flight game until December that year, but a serious knee injury to Ricardo Pereira last March gave him his chance and the 22-year-old has never looked back.
Quick, competitive and comfortable in both full back positions, Justin enhanced his growing reputation with a superb opening goal at Stoke as Leicester cruised into the fourth round.

England are well-stocked at right back, but Justin’s versatility will surely bring the youth international into Gareth Southgate’s thoughts.
Foxes boss Rodgers said: ‘Gareth looks at all the Under 21 boys and James is getting better with every game he plays. He’s a fantastic talent. He’s still got a lot of work to do but he is developing very well.’
Leicester were without Jamie Vardy and James Maddison, who are managing hip and knee issues respectively, but picked a strong XI and it paid off.

Justin added: ‘It’s been a really good season for me.
‘The FA Cup is such a big opportunity for us to get some silverware. Going far in it is one of our biggest aims.’
