Now, following a VIP tour of the German giants’ facilities, the Scotland youth international wants to move to the Bundesliga side – and Bayern are ready to tender a formal offer to Hearts.

Fellow Scots Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn are already part of the club’s youth system.

The plan is for Hickey to join Bayern Munich II in 3.Liga – the third tier of German football.
