Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has labelled a move for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane a ‘dream’, but insisting his club are not interested in signing him this summer.

Kahn is evidently an admirer of Kane, although the Bundesliga champions have opted to focus on other targets despite the imminent exit of Robert Lewandowski.

As it stands, Kane remains contracted at Spurs until 2024 and has committed his future to the club after previous interest from Manchester City fell short last season.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has admitted a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane is a ‘dream’

Kane has two years left to run on his Spurs contract, and is currently gearing up in pre-season

But Bayern’s hierarchy appear to be eyeing up a swoop for him at a later date.

Speaking to Sport Bild about his interest in the prolific striker, Kahn said: ‘He’s under contract with Tottenham.

‘Sure, an absolute top striker, but that’s all a dream of the future.’

The frontman was convinced to stay in north London after Antonio Conte became manager

He went on to add: ‘Now we have to look at getting the squad together for the current season. Let’s see what else happens.’

Kane penned a six-year contract at Spurs in 2018, which has two years left to run.

The arrival of Antonio Conte, and the collapse of City’s pursuit, convinced him to stay put in north London – and he is now preparing for the upcoming campaign.

The frontman has made 385 total appearances for the club, scoring 247 goals.

Robert Lewandowski is poised to join Barcelona after Bayern confirmed his imminent sale

Meanwhile, Bayern have confirmed the looming exit of star man Lewandowski.

He is set to have a medical today ahead of penning a three-year contract at Barcelona, who agreed a deal in principle to sell him for £42.5million.

Sadio Mane has arrived to help fill the void left behind, while Serge Gnabry has handed the Bavarian outfit a further boost by signing a new deal until 2026.
