Paul Pogba wants Real Madrid

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba wants to join Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

That’s according to former France and Bayern Munich legend Willy Sagnol, who thinks Ed Woodward and co. will be delighted to get the World Cup winner off their books.

“All of the conditions are there for Pogba to go to Real Madrid. Florentino wants it, Zidane wants it, Pogba as well,” Sagnol told RMC Sport.

“I think Manchester United would be happy because they wouldn’t have to pay his high salary anymore, and they would have money to invest in new players. Everything is prepared for it to happen.”

Jean Clair Todibo to Everton

Everton are ‘close’ to signing Barcelona defender Jean Clair Todibo.

Todibo, 20, joined Schalke on loan in January for the remainder of the season but financial impact of the coronavirus will leave the Bundesliga side unable to exercise their £21million purchase option.

Now, Spanish website Sport claim Everton are favourites to secure his signature.

It’s said Barcelona are currently negotiating with the Premier League side, who are prepared to pay £17m plus a further £4m in add-ons for the French centre-back.

Sport continue to claim that Everton made contact weeks ago and the good relationship between the two clubs could see a resolution in ‘the coming days.’

Lionel Messi wants Philippe Coutinho stay

Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to keep Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian playmaker, 27, has been tipped to leave the Nou Camp having failed to justify his £142million move from Liverpool in 2018.

Chelsea, Everton, Leicester and Newcastle have all been linked with his services after reports Bayern Munich have decided NOT to make his loan spell permanent.

However, The Athletic claim Messi disagrees with Barcelona’s stance on Coutinho and would rather attacker Ousmane Dembele was sold instead.

Samuel Umtiti to Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is focused on signing Samuel Umtiti.

Umtiti, 26, has been tipped to leave Barcelona after another season hampered by persistent injury issues that has limited him to just 11 La Liga appearances.

But that’s not put the Arsenal boss off who, according to Spanish newspaper Sport, is still determined to lure Umtiti to the Emirates Stadium.

The financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic has forced Napoli out of the running and a move to the Gunners will likely depend on whether or not they qualify for the Champions League.

Real Madrid swoop

Real Madrid are plotting a blockbuster spending spree across the next two summer transfer windows according to reports in Spain.

AS reports that Madrid are eyeing up deals to sign both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, dealing a blow to Liverpool and Manchester United in the process.

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly put 11 first-team players up for sale – including Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Luka Modric and James Rodriguez.

If they are able to offload some of those names, they are likely to go after some big names this summer.

According to AS, Madrid have put the wheels in motion to sign both Haaland and Mbappe.
