Arsenal have now submitted their first opening proposal for top January transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to unconfirmed reports from Ukraine. The Gunners opened formal talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over a deal earlier this month with the war-hit club’s CEO Sergey Palkin flew to London for face-to-face discussions with the Premier League leaders.

Arsenal are undeniably pursuing Mudryk at full throttle but it is currently unclear whether the Gunners have indeed made their move with an opening proposal.

Shakhtar sources have reportedly told Ihor Tsyhanyk that Arsenal have now made their move, tabling a bid that is ‘more than adequate’.

Express Sport has been unable to confirm whether Arsenal have made a bid for the highly-rated 21-year-old winger but Mikel Arteta has made it clear he wants his transfer business done early.
