Chelsea chiefs Roman Abrmovich and Marina Granovskaia are already working on signing Thiago Silva and a new goalkeeper as they close in on Kai Havertz, according to reports.
Frank Lampard can have no complaints with how the club have acted in the transfer window so far as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for silverware.
With Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner already through the door, Bayer Leverkusen winger Havertz also looks set to be heading to Stamford Bridge.
At the back they’re also closing in on a deal for Leicester’s Ben Chilwell.
And Italian journalist and transfer expert Nicolo Schira claims Chelsea owner Abramovich and director of football Granovskaia are looking at signing PSG star Silva and a new shot-stopper.
“Done deal! Kai #Haverz joins #Chelsea: he‘ll sign a contract until 2025 (€8M + add-ons),” Schira tweeted.
“#Blues pay him €80M + bonuses to #BayerLeverkusen.
“Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia on fire this summer (Ziyech, Werner, Chilwell) and now are working for #ThiagoSilva and a new GK.”

Lampard is well aware he now has plenty of attacking options up front but his defence still needs improving.
News of Lampard looking for a new goalkeeper will come as no surprise to his current No.1 Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spaniard came in for plenty of criticism last term and was dropped on occasions for Willy Caballero.
Chelsea have been linked with the likes of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak but the latter would command a sizeable fee.
One thing’s for sure, Chelsea will be lining up with a host of new faces in the starting XI when they face Brighton on Monday 14.
