Eddie Jones will unveil a new generation of England talent on Thursday when he names his provisional squad for the matches against the USA and Canada.
With 12 senior players away with the Lions, and the likes of George Ford and Jonny May rested, Jones is set to dip into a pool of untapped talent including Miles Reid, 22, and Bevan Rodd, 20.
Jones may lean heavily on a young Leicester contingent, with Freddie Steward, 20, Joe Heyes, 22, George Martin and Dan Kelly, both 19, all on his radar. His initial squad will not include players from Bristol, Exeter, Harlequins, Sale and Saracens, who have upcoming play-off games.

Bath winger Joe Cokanasiga, who last featured for England at the 2019 World Cup, is expected to be recalled.
Versatile forward Alfie Barbeary was also in Jones’s thoughts, but he is injured.
The squad will meet at the Lensbury on Sunday, before travelling to Leicester for an England A game against Scotland A.
Marcus Smith and Joe Simmonds are expected to join up with the squad at the end of their respective club campaigns.
