Eels enforcer Marata Nikukore could miss the remainder of Parramatta’s season after he was charged for his nasty crusher tackle on Storm forward Tino Faasuamaleaui.
The incident in the 27th minute of the Storm’s 36-24 win over the Eels could see Niukore rubbed out for the remainder of the season.
The charge carries a base penalty of 200 points (a two week suspension), but with a similar offence in the last two years (50% loading), Niukore has an additional 45 points to be carried over.

Niukore’s nasty crusher
NRL: Marata Niukore could be facing a nervous wait with the judiciary after this nasty crusher tackle placed him on report.
LATE MAIL: All the latest team news and ins and outs for week 1 of the finals
CASUALTY WARD: All the latest injury news and return dates from the finals
An early guilty plea will see Niukore miss two weeks of the competition, which would mean he would only be available to play again if the Eels make the Grand Final.
Meanwhile if he challenges the charge and is found guilty at the judiciary, Niukore will serve a three week suspension, which would cost him a spot in the Grand Final if the Eels get that far.
The Eels have until midday Monday 5 October to respond to the charge.
