Wilder makes another cheating dig Tyson Fury ahead of Usyk fight

‘It depends who’s going to CHEAT the hardest’: Deontay Wilder takes aim at Tyson Fury when asked who would win in an undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk – as he makes ANOTHER accusation against the Gypsy King

  • Deontay Wilder has made yet another cheating accusation against Tyson Fury
  • He believes the winner of his fight with Usyk will be the one who ‘cheats hardest’
  • Wilder claimed Fury used an egg weight in his glove to beat him back in 2020

Deontay Wilder has aimed yet another accusation at his rival Tyson Fury – claiming the winner of his potential fight against Oleksandr Usyk will be the one who ‘cheats the hardest’.

The Bronze Bomber fought Fury three times between 2018 and 2021 – drawing the first before being stopped in the second and third – claiming the Gypsy King had put an ‘egg-weight’ in his glove in the first two fights.

He also accused Ricky Hatton – who was in Fury’s corner for their first clash – of moving the Gypsy King’s gloves to reduce the padding around his fists. The American has listed many other reasons for his defeat in the second bout – including that his ring walk outfit was too heavy and that his water was spiked.

Deontay Wilder has made another accusation against his old rival Tyson Fury

He claimed the winner of his potential fight with Oleksandr Usyk (R) will be the one who ‘cheats the hardest’

Their third bout – an 11th round stoppage for Fury – brought no excuses, but Wilder could not resist another dig at his rival when asked who would win if Fury managed to secure an undisputed showdown with Usyk this year.

‘I don’t know. That’s a 50/50 fight. Depends on who’s gonna cheat the hardest,’ he told ESNews.

‘That’s what it is, it depends on who’s gonna cheat the hardest.’

In October 2020 Wilder sensationally accused Fury of cheating in their first two fights in a lengthy social media video – focusing on his claims that his rival ‘had something hard in his gloves’.

Wilder has aimed a number of cheating claims at Fury – including that he put an ‘egg-weight’ in his gloves to beat him in their first two fights

He said it was the reason he took so much damage in their second fight before his seventh round stoppage.

‘I saw in the first fight when Ricky Hatton was pulling down your gloves to put your fist in the improper position,’ Wilder said.

‘You tried the same method the second time but this time you scratched flesh out of my ears which caused them to bleed.’

‘It’s impossible for a brand new 10oz glove to bend, to keep a smushed-in form or to have loose space. I highly believe you had something hard in your glove, something the size and the shape of an egg-weight. It’s the reason why the side of my face swelled up in an egg-weight form. And it left a dent in my face as well.

The pair have exchanged bad blood across their trilogy and Wilder has refused to back down

‘But in the midst of it all, you still couldn’t keep this king down. You would have had to kill me. In the end it took a c***-in-a-bucket referee and a disloyal trainer (Mark Breland) to throw the towel in just to stop me.’

More than two years later – and a year after being beaten by Fury a third time – Wilder hit back after being asked why he had not gone to the authorities.

He said it would allow him to face Fury a fourth time and ‘try to kill him while getting paid millions for it’.

‘You got analysts that say “If he did have something in his glove why did you not go to the authorities?”

‘I wish I was in front of them (the analysts) and I would grab their collar and put them close to my face so we can be eye to eye, face to face, so much that my breath touch their face.

‘I would tell them, “why the f— would I go to the authorities when I have an opportunity to release my own energy and put my hands up on on him in the possibility of trying to kill him and get paid millions of dollars doing it”. Why would I go to the authorities?’

Wilder said he would rather ‘try to kill’ Fury ‘and get paid millions for it’ than go to the police over his continued accusations

Having completed his trilogy against Fury, many fans are now calling for him to face off against Anthony Joshua – following many failed negotiations – now that both of them have lost the pressure of having world titles attached to them.

But Wilder insists the British star does not want to fight him.

‘Joshua don’t wanna fight me, it’s just plain and clear. I don’t know why people keep asking about that.

‘In my career I’ve been nothing but straightforward, honest and truthful. I don’t go around the bush. Either I like you or I don’t, it ain’t no in between for me because I know what I want.

‘Everybody should’ve known when the $50million was offered to him after he asked for it and he didn’t take it. They should’ve known then it was something fishy.

‘Even moving forwards, Joshua don’t want to fight.

‘There’s certain information that I know and there’s certain information that the public receives from others.’
