What time does WrestleMania 36 start today? How to watch the 2020 show for free on pay-per-view

Facetiously, WrestleMania 36 started the second WrestleMania 35 ended.

But realistically, WrestleMania 36, now split over two nights due to how WWE is handling the coronavirus pandemic, is still going to take up a large chunk of your weekend. For the first time ever (and maybe not the last), WrestleMania is going to be a two-night event, with bost shows taking place over the course of a weekend at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.

While WWE caught plenty of flak for their build to the show and ultimate decision to carry it out as planned, one of the company’s front office men felt that canceling or postponing the show amid COVID-19 concerns wasn’t a realistic option.

“I think (canceling the event) was obviously considered, but we feel like it’s an obligation for us,” Triple H told ESPN on Wednesday. “Our fans have been there for us for years and years and years and we want to be there for them and in this time where everybody is just doing their best to get through this and kind of stuck at home.

“The world needs entertainment right now and we feel sort of an obligation to give them that.”

Well, time for WWE to deliver that entertainment, and they’ll have two nights to make that happen, with over a dozen matches scheduled to take place.

Here are the essentials of this weekend’s WrestleMania:

What time does WrestleMania 36 start?

The main card of WrestleMania will air at 7 p.m. ET on both Saturday April 4 and Sunday, April 5.

The Saturday show is scheduled to run until roughly 10:15 p.m. ET, while the Sunday show is scheduled to end around 10 p.m. ET. WWE’s shows have the tendency to bend around the time rules, so don’t be surprised if both shows run over.

Both shows’ main events should start around 9:30, depending on if other matches run short, long and what gets canned.
